In week 11, we are supposed to list out a list based on David's table.
The table finally has completed and submitted to our forum (attached file) and Ruth posted at her blog and Amy posted at her blog which shared by Tracy that linked to Mrs Brown's blog. It is really a great web-log network here anyway Richard Gerrand shared today at the forum about Bloom's Digital Taxonomy by eductechalogy.org
How to apply it with Bloom's Digital Taxonomy in classroom setting?
How to integrate technology across the curriculum?
David's Evernote dated April 27th about theories based on the pedagogical approach relate to Water Warrior units. It associated with ICT how the learners constructing knowledge from prior experiences, usually collaboratively and values an application of knowledge to a real-world context (Finger, Russell, Jamieson-Proctor & Russell, 2007)
Constructivism values student's interests, uses a variety of resources as opposed to the traditional textbooks, promotes interactive learning, assessment includes student work and observations and students work collaboratively for the most part of the unit (Educational Broadcasting Corporation, 2004). The benefits of constructivism include; student engagement, authentic tasks which can be transferrable to real world contexts, knowledge is more likely to be retained and understood and communication and social skills are developed (Education Broadcasting Corporation, 2004).
How to develop HOTS in the process of learning experiences?
The Water Warriors unit is based on a constructivist approach as students work collaboratively, use a variety of resources to construct knowledge, teacher facilitates discussion and offers advice and prompts, students are engaged, real world issues and authentic topics are covered and students participate in reflective discussion and activities. During the lesson and in process reflection for each lesson plan to have integrate ICT to be used in classroom, some framework could apply to measured the success of the student learning experiences. (Zoe's blog where she explained the context)
The implications for ICT incorporation using a constructivist approach are using activities which involve software that allows students to represent and express their ideas in a variety of ways (Popplet, PowerPoint), extend and guide student's in constructing new knowledge (Mission H2O game, Google Earth and Images) and the use of synchronous conversation tools (Skype) (Finger, et al., 2007).
WALT and WILF is recapped at the end of a lesson to check if we had covered all the information on the WALT and WILF posters and use it as a tool for reflecting on the lesson. For example, during a lesson introduction, the teacher will write under WALT what the students will be asked to do and also will write under WILF the why they are learning and how their work will be judged. Either both teacher will feedback to the students or peers feedback to correspond to each other and is allows the questions like, where am I going?, How am I going? and having a reflection activity at the end to see how the students did, i.e. Things like think/pair/share, thumbs up/down/side etc.
I have mentioned on my blog on May 16th, teacher needs reflecting on the ICT trend and being fully informed about what is happening in identifying types of technologies that will be adopted in classroom. One of the framework that going to help teachers have a practical value how to design ICT-enhanced learning experiences to meet the students’ needs by providing guidance based on the five part ICT planning is the ICT Integration & Transformation Implementation Technology Integration Planning (TIP). This framework model is built upon by Roblyer’s Technology Integration Planning (TIP) Model (adapted by Finger et. al, 2007 p.130) for effective planning in the lesson plan.
The Technology Integration Planning (TIP) model is developed by Roblyer (2006), and adapted by Finger, et al (2007). Each phases in this 5 phases will provide teachers a series of implementation steps that will ensure technology integrate in the classroom will be meaningful, successful and efficient (Finger el at., 2007). The 5 phases are:-Phase 1: Determine relative advantagePhase 2: Decide on objectives and assessmentsPhase 3: Design integration strategiesPhase 4: Prepare the instructional environmentPhase 5: Revise integration strategies Finger, et al (2007) p. 155

Hope it might be useful as part of planning process for my assignment 3 in part B and indirectly link to my reflection in part D after my PRAC by the end of next Monday.
