Week 3 (6) A broader pedagogical purpose


Forum - VET Sector artifact, this link had mentioned on few examples of why you would use ICTs. The real focus of assignment 1 is on myself identifying reasons why I would use ICTs to enhance our students' learning.
·         Which raises the question, what connectivism ICT and pedagogy?
·         What's the pedagogical purpose? 




In summary of the above requirement for the assignment - All of my reasons why I will use ICTs need to be supported with literature. I shouldn't be beating your parent/carer over the head with literature, but it should be there in my 3 artefacts.

Learning in your context

1.      When we describing my teaching context normally it is from a teacher perspective in the context to relate in describing the students characteristics on how using ICT enable student to enhance their learning context. Are there good types of learning experiences that are really difficult to implement, but for which ICTs might help?

For each of the reasons must identify to artefact and associated with it
  • Literature/theories that support the reason.
  • An example showing ICTs being used for that reason.
  • Can you find literature (research or practitioner) that supports your reason? 

2.     In terms of the theories/literature I need to find resources to support my reasons for content; therefore these 3 reasons why would integration of ICTs matters in students’ learning.


·         Just imagine if I am the parent of a child in school. The child's teacher has just sent home a URL that offers to explain why and how the teacher is planning to use ICTs to enhance my child's learning this year. For example, having the collaboration work with parents and child to engage in student presentations; or/and having of individual student, daily "diary journal".
