Since
2012 Australian Curriculum adopted the concept of Curriculum into the Classroom
(C2C). What should the requisite knowledge and skills for students to
understand and perform to attain success in doing a task in the curriculum?
Queen Ni's blog mentioned a link to Scotland's
website how to do a good curriculum planning. In this website, they said curriculum should be organised so that they will learn and develop through variety of contexts within both the classroom and other aspects of school life.
This is my section path of learning about "Designing and sequencing learning experiences". And also why assignment 2 provided a unit plan template to introduce the process for the Unit of Work using Backwards Design. So, the initial components of this template is to identifying the appropriate learning outcomes for the Unit of Work. This is the stage 1 for Desired Result (USQ Studydesk) where my learning path is focused on my selecting of learning outcomes for my unit plan.
The 3-5 week unit plan, there has no limit of having 4 or 5 learning outcomes but it is starting to be at the higher end of expectations.
Remember the point above, your unit plan must provide the students an opportunity to learn about and be assessed on the listed learning outcomes. You can't do this if there are too many learning outcomes.
