Week 3 (2) Selecting Tool - stage I'll use at ICT

It is very challenging for me to be reflective in being critical. Below is a staged model of teacher development around the use of ICTs in their teaching.

What stage am I now?

USQ StudyDesk (2014) provides pointers to a a collection of online tools that can be used to build a concept map. I notice Vivian's concept map has being shared at the forum - it is very interesting.

And this reminded me of our latest Malaysia Education Blueprint about the Shift 7 on leverage of the ICT to scale up quality learning across Malaysia. Hope it moves into the stage of integration in the midst of transition from application stage through this implementation of Malaysia Blueprint.

Stage
Description of key difference(s)
Inaction
There is a general lack of action and/or interest
Investigation
The teacher has developed an interest in using ICT with students and is beginning to act on this interest.
Application
The teacher is regularly using ICT with students and knows how to do so competently and confidently
CRITICAL USE BORDER
Integration
The use of ICT becomes critical to the support of the learning environment and the opportunity for students to achieve learning outcomes through the learning experiences provided.
Transformation
The teacher is able to take on leadership roles (formal and informal) in the use of ICT and be knowledgeably reflective on its integration by his/herself and others
